Londontown Lakur Swatches

I was recently contacted by LONDONTOWN about trying out some of their lakur polishes. This is a brand that isn't available in-stores in Canada so I was curious to try it out!
The package I was sent included 4 of their lakur polishes, a base coat, a gel topcoat (no lamp required), a drying oil, and a cuticle oil.

LONDONTOWN polishes and other nail products are 9-free, cruelty-free, gluten-free, vegan, and infused with Florium complex.

Out of these four polishes, there was one crème, one metallic, one duochrome/multichrome, and one shimmer/microglitter polish. I used two coats of each polish and a topcoat for all of the swatches.

BRILL-ant is a metallic rose polish. In my opinion it's more like a metallic lilac since it looks a little on the purple side to me, but who I am to argue with the product description. This polish is from LONDONTOWN's Time Out (F/W 2016-7) Collection and was probably my favourite out of the four polishes that I was sent. I liked the formula (it didn't do that streaky-thing that a lot of metallic polishes do) and I also thought the colour was really pretty. It can be fun and modern but classy at the same time!

Cheeky Noir is a black polish with silver microglitter which gives it a shimmery effect. The first coat went on a bit thinner than I thought it would and it dragged a little bit (the way some metallic polishes do) but it was completely opaque in two coats. I thought the colour was pretty, and from a distance the microglitter almost gives the polish a chrome-like look.

Londoner Love is a red crème polish. I had a hard time getting the colour of the polish to be true-to-life in the pictures; it's actually more of a cherry red than it appears in the photos. I thought the first coat looked a little sheer, but by the second coat it was completely opaque. Nice option if you're looking for a bright, cherry red polish!

Skyline Reflect is the last polish from LONDONTOWN that I tried out, and while the product description on the website calls it a "multichromatic crème [that] combines silver, purple, and blue in a shimmery metallic finish," I thought it looked more like a duochrome that shifted between purple and green. Granted, I'm not the most well-versed in multichrome and duochrome polishes, but that was my initial reaction to seeing it both in the bottle and on my nails. Again, I thought the first coat was a little thin but it didn't really matter since the coverage was fine with two coats. A bit of a side note, but this shade kind of reminded me of dragons for some reason 😋

And that brings me to the end of my LONDONTOWN lakur swatches!
Which colour did you like the best?

Thank you to the lovely people at LONDONTOWN for the opportunity to try out some of your polishes!

xo,
Becca.
